Fresh from the absolutely roadblocked Carnival party, Uptownboogiedown returns to our regular spot - 2nd Sunday of the month, on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH, at West London’s finest - The Notting Hill Arts Club.

Prepare your livers ladies and gentlemen, because it also happens to be my birthday, yes that’s right! I’m officially turning 29. Can you believe it? Still so good looking?

In honor of this momentous occasion, we thought it high time we gave ourselves more of the spot light. After all, we’ve just had our tracks licensed to the next installment of Mark Farina’s MUSHROOM JAZZ series for San Fran House giant OM Records and Sander Kleinenberg’s latest Dj Mix for Pure Pacha, to name a few.

Yes, in addition to holding the fort down at Boogiedown, JAFAR and ME have steadily been putting out a wealth of music over the last 15 years. Both together as POUSSEZ, and separately (or in conjunction with the talented ANDY TOUCHFINGERS) under our various aliases as JAFAR & TOUCH, TONRAUSCH, TOASTBURGLAR, JAFAR & BOBBY STROBE, RARE UNIT, POETIQUETTE, WAXJACKERS and EWOK, we’ve collectively released over 70 or so EPs and remixed on labels as reputable as Hustle Music, Hudd Traxx, Dust Traxx, Friends of the Family, Universal Vibes, Blacksoul Music, Berwick Street, Sensual, Pigeon Traxx, Kwaito recordings and of course their own Artizan Music & 4bit imprints…

Jafar and I have collaborated with industry stalwarts Demarkus Lewis, Rich Medina, Marcus Begg and Hannah Khemoh (Reel People). We’ve remixed Timo Garcia, Rithma, Young David and Terry Farley, whilst we are currently being remixed by production giant ATJAZZ!!

Nuff said. Its high time we gave ourselves the lionshare of the night and we’ll also be treating you to an hours live set of our new POUSSEZ material

On warmup, is our good friend and up-and-coming Polish producer - ADSKI. This talented deep house DJ should set the scene very nicely from 4-7pm!

So there you have it, get down early for a late Summer Boogiedown. Extended Happy hour on the bar from 4-8pm! And don’t forget its my birthday celebration, BITCHES!!! So it is your duty to come and buy me drinks, tickle me and grind your booty up on this…
